Lamborghini
Width, scissor doors and a splitter sitting around a hundred millimetres off the ground make these the cars that decide how a trailer has to be laid out.

Carrying a Lamborghini
Width is the first constraint and it is the one that dictates our loading procedure. An Aventador is 2,030 mm across the body and measures close to 80 inches at the outside of the wheels, against roughly 84 inches between the wheel wells of a conventional enclosed trailer. Centered, that leaves about two inches a side — not enough to open a scissor door inside the box, at any angle. Our rail and shoring layout exists so that no door is ever opened between the trailer walls: the driver is out of the car before it enters and does not get back in until it is off the deck.
Static clearance on a Revuelto is around 107 mm with the front splitter lower still. The hydraulic front lift adds roughly 40 mm and, on the Aventador system, retracts automatically once the car passes about 40 km/h, so it is useful for the first few feet of a ramp and nothing beyond that. Only the front lifts. The rear diffuser and exhaust exit are the second scrape point, and departure angle coming off a gradient is managed separately with ramp length rather than suspension.
Revuelto, Temerario and Urus SE are plug-in hybrids: the high-voltage pack travels at a specified state of charge and the 12-volt system goes on a conditioner. Securement is soft loop over the tire at four points. The carbon monocoque has defined lift and tie points; nothing loads onto the sill, the splitter, or the underbody aero.

The cars themselves

The marque
Ferruccio Lamborghini built tractors before founding a car company in 1963 at Sant'Agata Bolognese, about twenty miles from Maranello. The Miura of 1966 set the mid-engined layout the marque has used since.
Audi took ownership in 1998. Twelve-cylinder cars have carried scissor doors since the Countach of 1974, and the current range is entirely hybrid, a V12 and a twin-turbo V8 both running electric motors.
