First Team Transports was founded by Ross Travis — a former NFL tight end signed out of Penn State who played for six professional franchises: the Kansas City Chiefs, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions.
Over the course of a career that moved him across the country — often on short notice, with vehicles that represented significant personal investment — Ross dealt with the auto transport industry more than most people ever will. Damaged vehicles. Cars sitting in unknown locations mid-route with no update. ETAs given and ignored. Brokers who collected a fee and then couldn't reach the driver they assigned.
He built something better. Over 15 years, that foundation of trust — built person by person, transport by transport — became First Team Transports.
